About the event
Dr. S.S. Lal is an internationally acclaimed Public Health leader with over 25 years of experience. He is currently a professor of Public Health at the Global Institute of Public Health, India, and the Founder and President of the Global Foundation for Health and Hygiene, USA.
Dr. Lal has held positions of importance at various international organizations, such as being the Senior Manager at The Global Fund, the Technical Officer at WHO (for Dili, East Timor), and National Professional Officer at WHO (Delhi, India) as well as being an Epidemiologist at India. He serves in advisory capacities to many of these international organizations, such as WHO, UNEP, World Bank, to name a few. He has extensively worked to control the spread of infectious diseases such as HIV, TB, Malaria, and Covid-19.
Apart from this, he also has extensive experience in the media- he presented over 500 weekly episodes of the first health show on a global television channel in India. He has been an editor and columnist in various health publications as well.
